Director Risk Management Greensboro, NC The Director Risk Management is the principal person responsible for the management of risk for the organization, including worker’s compensation, property and casualty, and litigation. This person is responsible for defining the procedures and policies for evaluating and managing/minimizing risk. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Lead annual corporate insurance renewal on worker’s compensation, property and casualty, EPLI, D & O insurance programs, and other insurance programs, as needed Oversee administration of worker’s compensation, property and casualty, EPLI, Cyber Security, D & O insurance programs, and other insurance programs Make insurance procurement recommendations and manage various liability, property and specialty insurance policies Responsible for managing day-to-day broker relationship, including RFPs as needed Manage all claims, including coordination with construction services, operations, and accounting Analyze factors concerning risk, liability, safety and occupational hazards, and implement loss control measures Review current worker’s comp, property casualty, employment practices liability, directors and officers insurance legislation to determine necessary changes in insurance requirements and coverage Coordinate contract reviews with Director Purchasing, as necessary Evaluate and follow up on all risks identified from periodic Risk Summits Represent company in risk mediations and arbitrations Liaise with worker’s comp, property and casualty, EPLI and D & O, and other insurance companies Support management services and investment services for insurance matters related to properties and owners Provide information, assistance, and recommendations to Executive Committee related to risk Manages handling of lawsuits and acts as liaison with attorneys Develop policies and procedures for loss prevention and risk control Provide assistance, guidance to departments regarding liability, risk issues and contract administration Work with Training Department to develop risk related training Assist in development and implementation of loss control and safety training programs for compliance with OSHA regulations and other federal, state or local requirements Assist in development of incentive programs for safety compliance Prepare regular reports on risk issues and executive summary reports Assist with other tasks and projects as requested Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have an excellent understanding of underwriting, claims and risk assessment principals Must be detail-oriented and have strong project management skills and ability to multi-task Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based setting Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must be resourceful and well organized Must be customer service focused Must be able to maintain confidentiality Must be able to work in a general office environment Must demonstrate support of Bell Core Values Must demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service Must present a professional image Education & Background BS/BA required; MBA or JD preferred Must have at least 5-10 years or more of insurance underwriting, claims and industry experience Must have experience working in a company of 1,000 employees or more, with multiple locations Bell Partners, Inc.
