Unpaid Legal Intern – Judge's
Intern under the direction of an assigned judge or other designee, will review judge pleadings, motions, and other case filings for legal sufficiency and accuracy. Will be expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Judges, other Judiciary employees, trial court staff, legal professional, title companies, self-represented litigants and the public. Legal interns will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of court administration and gain practical experience and valuable insight into the judicial process. Duties may include: Conducting research; Analyzing data’; Draft memoranda; Preparing paperwork and processing legal documents; Team projects; Data entry and filing’; Observing legal proceedings; Work flexible hours possibly for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Excellent legal research and writing skills are essential. Satisfactory completion of one year of law school or current enrollment as a first year law student with substantial legal writing experience. Many schools will give course credit for work experience is required.
