Spring Internship The intern will experience first-hand the complexities of policy initiatives and develop a keen awareness of the multifaceted nature of specific issue areas. This internship will enable you to witness our great democracy in action and, ideally, inspire you to continue toward public service in the future. Will have the opportunity to build a functional knowledge of the U.S. government, especially the inner workings of the U.S. Congress. Interns assist with administrative duties for the 7th District of Minnesota, such as leading tours of the U.S. Capitol, facilitating flag requests, and serving as the first point of contact for constituents who call our office. Interns will also have the chance to help with the legislative workings of the office, conducting research, and attending Congressional briefings. Should be current college students or recent graduate. Should have strong oral and written communication skills, professional maturity, attention to detail, and willingness to work on a variety of tasks. Minnesota ties are a must. This is a paid position. Period: January through May Deadline: December 1
