Assistant Attorney General - Agency of Human Services Division- Director The candidate must have at least 8 years of relevant legal experience. Will include Agency in-house legal work as well as litigation, litigation support and direct supervision of four legal units within the AGO Agency of Human Services Division (DAIL, DVHA, VDH and DCF/ESD). Should have administrative, litigation and transactional responsibilities. The Director’s responsibilities include the following Legal advice to the Secretary of the Agency of Human Services and executive management team; Litigation and litigation support; Contract review, advice and negotiations; Personnel management for the AAGs in four legal units within the Agency of Human Services Division (including participating in recruitment and hiring of unit staff, completion of performance evaluations, and setting and monitoring performance goals for each member); Assist the AGO Agency of Human Services Division Chief. Should have legal and management experience. Must have excellent research, writing, public presentation, and case management skills. Must be a member in good standing of the Vermont bar or be eligible to obtain admission by waiver.
