Regulatory Counsel The candidate will advise teams throughout the company on how legal regulatory matters impact operations across the US and foreign jurisdictions. Will develop and execute company's regulatory compliance strategy in a variety of highly regulated spaces - including alcohol and pharmaceuticals - and work with business partners to build compliant products and operations. Serve as the primary contact on regulatory issues for merchant partners' legal teams. Manage permit and license application processes. Work closely with product counseling team to prioritize legal asks to product and engineering teams.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have J.D. degree and be admitted to any State Bar. Must have 5+ years of experience practicing regulatory law at a top-tier firm or in-house. Experience providing guidance on legal requirements for highly regulated products such as alcohol or pharmaceuticals is required. Prior in-house experience, particularly in the tech industry or the on-demand economy, is needed.
