Leasing Attorney The candidate will negotiate, draft, review, redline, and execute commercial real property leases. Will work within the legal department and will report to the company's General Counsel and/or Corporate Attorney, as assigned. Coordinate with the company's facilities department and field management as needed to ensure lease documents reflect build-out and other necessary provisions for leased spaces. Additional duties will include maintaining files for lease renewals, amendments, estoppel certificates and notifications. Will also be responsible for: lease preparation / writing; lease review / redline; overseeing lease renewals / terminations; termination and relocation documentation; negotiating lease terms with landlords or their representatives; maintaining lease records and renewal / notice periods; managing lease information database (property works a plus); and coordinating with facilities department for lease status and projects.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a J.D. degree. Law license and Bar admission are required. Must have 3+ years of direct legal experience in commercial lease negotiation and drafting. Knowledge or experience with lease tracking software is a plus, specifically property works.
