Litigation Paralegal Duties: Support several attorneys; therefore, the ability to manage a heavy caseload is required. Obtain, review and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment records, or any other relevant documents and records; Prepare medical record summaries; Draft pleadings, discovery and routine correspondence.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: An ABA Paralegal Certificate, Bachelor's or Associate's degree, and 3+ years of general litigation experience, preferably with a defense firm. Construction & Design experience is also preferred. Expertise with docketing and maintaining calendaring systems; Experience billing time; Well-developed writing and research skills; Experience maintaining hard and soft filing systems; Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook; Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy; Anticipating attorneyâ€™s needs, identifying problems and finding solutions; Ability to work with limited supervision, independently or with a team; Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of people; Ability to exercise a high degree of tact, discretion and sound judgment; Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a high-volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines; Exceptional interpersonal skills with a mature, professional and personable presentation and demeanor; High level of integrity and personal accountability; Flexibility to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines; Excellent attendance and reliability.
