A law firm in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an Associate Attorney to practice primarily in bankruptcy and various federal consumer laws. The ideal candidate will handle Chapter 7 bankruptcies and demonstrate proficiency in time management techniques to support a high volume caseload while maintaining a willingness to learn and improve continuously.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle Chapter 7 bankruptcies from start to finish.
  • Provide 341 hearing coverage.
  • Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, financial statements, and related filings.
  • Draft pleadings and memoranda of law.
  • Attend hearings and court appearances.
  • Maintain excellent client service for all assigned cases.
  • Track case work through case management systems.

Requirements:

  • Bar Admission, active and in good standing in Wisconsin.
  • Federal admission to the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
