A law firm seeks a dynamic mid-senior level Corporate M&A and Global Corporate Restructuring Associate to join its high-energy corporate practice in Minneapolis. The role focuses on handling complex cross-border transactions for Fortune 500 global companies, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and international corporate restructurings. Ideal candidates will bring 4-7 years of experience managing significant corporate deals, with a strong emphasis on complex cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and global corporate restructurings.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Lead and manage cross-border transactions, working with international counsel and stakeholders.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to guide clients through complex regulatory environments.
  • Oversee the coordination of multiple parties, ensuring smooth execution of transactions across jurisdictions.
  • Prioritize and manage a significant caseload while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Foster positive client relationships and collaborate with senior attorneys to refine case strategies.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience practicing corporate law, particularly in cross-border M&A and global corporate restructuring.
  • Ability to handle multiple, high-stakes matters simultaneously.
  • Strong drafting and research skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions with input from various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, and a high level of self-motivation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Minnesota or the jurisdiction of practice.
