Pro Bono Assistant Duties: Provide general administrative assistance to the firm’s Pro Bono Counsel, as well as dedicated project and process coordination for the firm wide pro bono program. Will coordinate the flow of confidential documents for the pro bono program, support and help manage the annual and monthly program budgets, support pro bono committees, and maintain the Pro Bono Counsel's calendar, document filing/archives and action items lists. Frequent meeting coordination will be expected, including distribution of invitations, attendance tracking, agenda preparation and materials coordination. Will also compile and format various pro bono reports throughout the year and assist with review, compilation and distribution of monthly and quarterly statistics and monthly pro formas. Will include assisting with compilation of information for surveys, leadership awards, external award nominations, and Foundation requests. Will work closely with other assistants to provide back-up and cross-departmental support as part of the firm's team approach.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Law firm or legal department experience preferred. Must have a strong administrative support background with 3+ years of experience in an administrative assistant, legal secretary, paralegal or similar role. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite, especially with Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, is required. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, general technology skills and the proven ability to learn new concepts and applications quickly. Candidates are expected to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, exercise judgment and work independently. The ideal candidate must be a team player and must have excellent interpersonal skills, which are essential to this position in dealing with both internal and external colleagues and personnel, including nonprofit legal service providers and pro bono clients. The ability to coordinate complex travel and meeting arrangements through direct sources as well as the firm's travel department is also required. Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. 75+ wpm accurate typing and outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent grammar, writing and proofreading abilities and strong attention to detail are required. Functional knowledge of basic legal terminology is beneficial.

"Great Work Environment "

I would like to see our current management team revised with possibly some new replacements to be available to take care of issues that arise in the office.

Pros : The work environment is excellent as everyone is very helpful and experienced. The benefits are awesome as well and everyone really cares about their clients.
Cons : I have found the firm to be somewhat slow in terms of how quickly they resolve issues that are occurring around the office. I have found this to be mostly related to our current management team though.
