A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for their Columbus, OH office.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney will be responsible for advising clients on a wide range of employment matters and advocating for them in labor and employment litigation. The ideal candidate will possess specialized experience in ERISA litigation, coupled with a track record of academic excellence, a diligent work ethic, and exceptional writing and research abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on various employment-related issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and employee benefits.
  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client cases and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Stay abreast of developments in labor and employment law, including changes in statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, documentation, and correspondence.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
  • 4-7 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERISA litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a distinguished academic record.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in legal analysis and documentation.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing quality legal representation.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
