A law firm in Braintree, MA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Litigator specializing in Education Law. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and have a strong background in education-related litigation. The firm values experience with cases involving students with disabilities, civil and constitutional rights, and labor issues.
Duties:
- Represent clients in education-related litigation, including cases involving students with disabilities, civil and constitutional rights, and labor issues.
- Provide legal counsel and advice to educational institutions and other clients on education law matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
- Maintain detailed and organized case files.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Stay updated on changes in education law, regulations, and court decisions.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar and in good standing.
- Federal court admission preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of meaningful civil litigation experience.
- Experience with education-related litigation is highly valued.
- Strong academic background.
- Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:
