Paralegal - Litigation Duties: Provides support to lawyers during the entire litigation process from the initial information-gathering stage through discovery and trial, and ending with careful archival of case material. Under the direction of an attorney, with minimal supervision assists with a range of legal support by conducting research and gathering the appropriate documentation. Must possess high level communication skills (written and verbal). Analyzing legal materials, maintaining reference files and databases. Trust, accuracy and ability to multi task under pressure.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelorâ€™s degree or equivalent related work experience ABA approved Paralegal course of study or North Carolina State Paralegal Certification. Maintain Certification through Continuing Legal Education. 5+ years of litigation and trial experience required in the legal field; Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills. Excellent writing skills (proper use of punctuation, spelling, grammar, diction and style). Excellent proofreading skills.
