A law firm in Santa Ana, CA, seeks a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with 5-15 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, primarily on the defense side. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in wrongful termination, discrimination, PAGA class actions, and related employment disputes.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, and PAGA class actions.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategy to clients on employment law matters and disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal briefs in state and federal courts.
  • Manage all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Attend and present arguments in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and dispute resolutions on behalf of clients.
  • Stay updated on changes and trends in employment law to ensure clients receive current legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited, well-regarded law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 5-15 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, primarily on the defense side.
  • Proven ability to handle complex employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination cases, and PAGA class actions.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Certifications:

  • Certifications in Employment Law or Litigation (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
