Manager, Clinical Risk The candidate under the direction of the Director, Risk Management Services, the Clinical Risk Manager plans, organizes, administers and controls the effective use of resources and events to reduce preventable patient, employee and visitor adverse occurrences and injuries. This position works to minimize the financial severity of fortuitous loss and supports the development, implementation, administration, review and communication of policies and procedures related to loss prevention, loss control, claims administration, patient rights and risk management issues in the Huntington Hospital organization. Provides advice and acts as a resource to administration, medical staff, patients and staff relating to risk management services. Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree (masters or juris Doctor) preferred, RN license required, Healthcare Risk Management or certification preferred. 2 years experience in Risk Management. Claims handling experience preferred. Demonstrates customer service skills. Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and graphical presentations required. Complex problem solving skills needed. Knowledge and application of pertinent healthcare regulatory requirements and statutes are needed.
