A law firm in Washington . is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Health Industry Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters. The candidate will join the health care regulatory and transactional practice group, providing counseling and support on a broad range of regulatory issues, including licensing, corporate practice of medicine, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, fraud and abuse laws, and reimbursement considerations. The ideal candidate should have excellent academic credentials, superior research and writing skills, and experience in drafting, revising, and negotiating purchase agreements, management agreements, and similar arrangements. Experience with health care regulatory due diligence in transactions of various sizes for providers and investors is also valuable.

Duties:

  • Provide regulatory counseling and transactional support on health care matters.
  • Advise on licensing, corporate practice of medicine, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and fraud and abuse laws.
  • Assist with reimbursement considerations and compliance issues.
  • Draft, revise, and negotiate purchase agreements, management agreements, and other related contracts.
  • Conduct health care regulatory due diligence in transactions.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues related to health care regulations.
  • Communicate legal advice clearly and effectively to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • 3-5 years of experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Strong understanding of health care laws and regulations.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated research and writing skills.
  • Experience with purchase agreements, management agreements, and regulatory due diligence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Certifications and Skills:

  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Familiarity with health care compliance issues and reimbursement considerations.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
