ProfileLegal Internships The Program will advocate best interests of children in high conflict custody cases in which issues of and/or between the parents impedes the judge’s inquiry into and determining the children’s best interests. Interns will observe parent conferences and court hearings, interview collateral contacts related to custody cases, review and prepare detailed summaries of court records and any education, health, or social service records, prepare witness questions and trial outlines, and handle other litigation support duties.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Rising or current 2L / 3L. Demonstrated interest in family law and litigation. Previous work or volunteer experience with public interest focus and/or working with children a plus.
Duration: 10 weeks
