Assistant General Counsel The candidate will handle a wide-range of legal responsibilities as assigned and supervised by the Executive Vice President, Chief Administration and Legal Officer. Will provide general legal services to support the Organization’s various business operations and functions. Assist the Chief Legal Officer with managing the Organization’s legal risk in various areas of law (including contracts, litigation, employment law, education law, real estate, corporate, and others). Assist in managing Organization policies and procedures and the company record retention program. Provide support for acquisitions and affiliations and other corporate development activities. Assist in managing outside counsel in litigation matters and coordinate internal requirements in connection with litigation. Assist in and take responsibility for drafting and negotiating legal documents of all types. Draft, negotiate, review, analyze and interpret vendor and partner contracts. Research and interpret laws, court decisions, ordinances, and other legal authorities as needed to deliver the foregoing services. Provide legal advice and support to Organization leadership and senior management, as needed. Should have a Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and a strong academic background. Must have 2+ years of law practice experience. Should be admitted to the Bars in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey and in good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted.
