IP Litigation Associate
The candidate must have a JD Degree, strong research, verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent academic and professional credentials, with 4-7 years of experience handling all aspects of intellectual property and/or patent litigation. A degree or background in engineering or the sciences and actual patent litigation trial experience is strongly preferred. Must have 5+ years of general litigation experience in a large law firm setting that demonstrate the ability to learn underlying technology will also be considered.

"High stress work in a narrow field leads to misery"

Stop pushing people so hard. The stress of having to work so much just burns people out in a year or two. If the billable hours requirement was more reasonable and there was actual a chance for advancements then you wouldn't have to hire new people every couple of years. Surely a more stable firm is a more successful firm.

Pros : The training program is excellent and the work for many top names is very interesting. You will gain good experience.
Cons : That experience will most likely be prosecutorial and for a particular client with no room for movement. The billable hours requirement is high. The turnover rate is also high.
