ProfilePolicy Analyst, Pharmacy The candidate will develop plans and execute strategies to advance designated policy portfolio and achieve advocacy goals, including protecting access to the 340B Drug Pricing Program and Planned Parenthood affiliates’ participation in state and federal health programs. Spearhead cross-departmental and cross-divisional plans to respond to public policy developments that impact access to reproductive and sexual health services, including federal and state regulations, guidance, and legislation; drive immediate and ongoing internal and external response; guide media strategy and engagement of policymakers, coalition partners and Planned Parenthood affiliates. Closely monitor developments in pharmacy policy, particularly around Medicaid drug reimbursement, 340B Drug Pricing Program, nominal drug pricing, and value-based payment for pharmacy. Produce detailed, written legal analysis, memos, fact sheets and toolkits for PPFA leadership, affiliates, lawmakers and partner organizations; draft PPFA and template comments and letters responding to proposed policies; distill complex policy and technical issues for variety of audiences. Consistently expand knowledge and expertise around emerging and complex health care delivery issues, both those directly related to women’s health care and those rooted in changes to the larger system; serve as issue-area expert to internal and external audiences. Work closely with Planned Parenthood affiliates on efforts to improve access to health care at the state level, respond to state and federal policy developments, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and other pharmacy billing and dispensing requirements. Convene, lead and actively participate in relevant coalitions and build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders. Provide timely and comprehensive reports to PPFA senior staff on project progress and breaking developments. JD degree is required. Should have 5-7 years relevant experience, including expertise in health and pharmacy policy and law. Experience working in women's health or reproductive health is a plus. Knowledge of diverse groups, working within a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural differences desired.
