Overview:
**** is currently seeking an experienced IP Docketing Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of US and foreign docketing experience and be familiar with CPI & IP. This is a full-time position based in one of our offices in Boston, East Brunswick, Hartford, Indianapolis, Miami, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Stamford, Trenton, Washington, DC, or Wilmington.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the daily operation of the Firm's computerized docketing system
- Docket all incoming mail from the USPTO, international patent offices, clients, and international associates
- Docket prosecution and interference due dates for all US patent cases
- Enter data relating to cases transferred to and from the Firm
- Clear due dates on the docketing system as instructed by Attorneys/Assistants
- Review data entry for accuracy and integrity on a daily basis
- Ensure a high level of quality by maintaining a high standard of data entry
- No supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of US and foreign docketing experience
- Familiarity with CPI & IP
- Thorough knowledge of US patent filing, prosecution, and registration procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and Word Perfect
- Typing speed of 50-75 WPM
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong multitasking skills
- High school graduate, undergraduate degree preferred

You will also be responsible for clearing due dates on the docketing system as instructed and reviewing data entry for accuracy and quality on a daily basis.
To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of US and foreign docketing experience and be familiar with CPI & IP. You should also have a strong knowledge of US patent filing, prosecution, and registration procedures, as well as proficiency in MS Office and Word Perfect. A typing speed of 50-75 WPM is required, and you must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, and handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is required, but an undergraduate degree is preferred.
