Paralegal, Tenants' Rights Coalition
Duties: Individual representation and group work on behalf of tenant associations fighting eviction, harassment, neglect, and overcharges. Will be expected to work closely with lawyers, tenant organizers, tenant associations and community partners to identify and address housing needs, and to conduct outreach and community education. Will also assess potential clients, provide legal guidance with the assistance of attorneys and engage in advocacy.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: College degree or equivalent experience preferred; Experience with housing and public benefits advocacy preferred; A demonstrated passion for social justice and a commitment to working with low-income communities and communities of color to advance equity; must be able to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds; Excellent interviewing, writing, and communication skills; Excellent organizational skills and strong facility with numbers; Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is required.
