Contract and Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will conduct preliminary review of vendor and sales contracts and assist with developing approaches to recurring issues in such contracts in coordination with members of the legal team and others within the company. Assist with developing and maintaining contract templates, contract related policies and resource materials. Assist with other matters related to contracts. Assist with registering and maintaining IP registrations, including trademarks, copyrights and patents. Work with external IP attorneys to register and maintain registered IP. Maintain files of registered IP showing history and current status, including uploading. Registration certificates to Share Point, Correspondence with external IP lawyers. Correspondence with business on decisions made with respect to registered IP. Assist with other administrative tasks related to managing IP. Assist with enforcement efforts against IP infringement, including. Working with external IP attorneys to seek guidance. Track and maintain enforcement efforts. Conduct infringement reviews and file DCMA to remove trademark and copyright infringement from websites. Recommend, implement and maintain IP technologies as needed (Access IP database, Share Point). Create and Maintain policies with respect to the company’s IP. Assist with preparing board and committee resolutions. Create and maintain files on corporate subsidiaries. Assist with other corporate matters. Must have 4-6 years’ experience as a Contract or IT Paralegal preferably in a technology setting. Should have Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certification from an ABA accredited school. Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet and research tools is required. Knowledge and understanding of working with customers, suppliers, distributors, vendors, subcontractors is needed. Experience with working with contracts, preferably in-house legal department or law firm is must. Experience with intellectual property registrations is essential.
