Overview:

- The Senior Counsel – Labor & Employment will be responsible for providing legal support for HR and business managers in all aspects of employment and labor law.
- This individual will also oversee employment claims and litigation and manage legal costs associated with these matters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise HR professionals and business managers on employment-related matters under US federal, state, and local laws.
- Provide guidance on international labor and employment matters in collaboration with outside counsel.
- Advise on labor relations issues and develop risk-minimizing strategies.
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment and labor obligations.
- Review and revise company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment and labor laws.
- Represent the company in agency administrative charges and manage outside counsel in employment-related litigation.
- Provide perspectives and guidance on transition issues such as terminations and furloughs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license in at least one US state.
- 3+ years of experience in employment law or in-house as an HR professional or employment lawyer.
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional employment issues and disputes preferred.
- Experience managing employment-related litigation.
- Ability to identify employment law risks and develop strategies.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
