Vice President - Strategic Investments Group Duties and Responsibilities: Primary oversight of tax incentive and conduit bond finance projects for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Primary responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of both financing contracts and project documentation [including for public-private-partnerships, private placements, syndicated loans, cross-border transactions, swaps, and tax-equity]. Lead structuring of projects and negotiation of financial transactions, including creating and executing on creative solutions to ensure triple bottom line and policy aligned outcomes. Build and maintain relationships with real estate developers, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), financial institutions, attorneys, consultants, relevant business groups, civic and community stakeholders, and other professional organizations. Manage two boards of directors, including leading member outreach, approval of all materials, and governance and compliance responsibilities. Hire, train, supervise, and provide ongoing professional development to junior team members. Demonstrate managerial capabilities, with specific focus on leading and motivating teams, setting and meeting goals, expectations and deadlines with limited oversight. Deliver frequent presentations to executive staff, boards, and City officials. Coordinate incentive programming with other City and State and quasi-governmental agencies. Work with SVP and other department leadership to develop strategic outlook for SIG. Managed large scale deal processes, including oversight and coordination of outside counsel and experts as well as internal team members. JD degree preferred, or Master’s Degree in business, real estate or finance. Must have Target work experience of 6-8 years. Should have experience using spreadsheets, databases, and presentation applications including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint.
