Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Member of California Bar. Must have 2 years of relevant experience in top-tier law firms or in-house. Practical experience advising on legal and contractual issues for clinical development and clinical studies. Solid understanding of the regulatory framework and regulatory issues for clinical studies and drug approval. Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Expert knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong proficiency working in Mac environments, including with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.). Team player, self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and a great sense of humor. Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize various projects, and flex with ease. Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate and complete a wide range of drug discovery agreements including clinical development and clinical study agreements for drug products. Proficient understanding of contract issues and contractual matters including terms related to IP and privacy matters. The ability to communicate in a collaborative and cross-functional manner, and act as lead for Legal Dept on cross-functional teams and initiatives.
