A busy law firm in downtown Fort Worth is seeking a skilled paralegal, preferably bilingual, for its family and criminal law practices. Mission: The goal of this position is to assist in growing the family law practice by 200 percent in 2019, systematizing the process for client feedback and increasing revenues for the firm. Competencies: Knowledge of the Tarrant County family court system and key personnel. Experience drafting pleadings, preparing discovery, and e-filing. Superior attention to detail and editing skills. Ability to handle high call volume with a positive attitude. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Calendars court settings and office appointments. Drafts and reviews legal documents. E-files documents with court clerks. Creates and maintains case files. Conducts legal research and assists attorneys with court and trial preparation. Requirements: Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a legal secretary or paralegal, preferably in family law. Paralegal certification, bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Fluent in Spanish (Preferred). Experience with the Texas E-file system. Strong attention to detail. Excelling oral and written communication skills. Positive attitude. Salary and Benefits: $42,000 – $45,000, commensurate with experience.
