Job Overview: A law firm based in Portland, OR is seeking a highly skilled Liquor Attorney to work with a diverse range of clients in the alcohol, beverage, and cannabis industries. The successful candidate will play a key role in collaborating with and managing a talented team of attorneys while providing exceptional client service in a collegial office environment.
Duties:
- Advise clients on licensing, trade practice compliance, distribution, contracts, and dispute resolution in the alcohol, beverage, and cannabis sectors.
- Collaborate with and help manage a team of attorneys across the Firm’s offices.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support clients' business goals.
- Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and legal developments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- License to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in liquor law matters.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage significant individual responsibilities and contribute to team success.
Education:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active license to practice law.
Skills:
- Exceptional client-service approach and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a diverse group of attorneys.
- Enthusiasm for working with and building a diverse team.
- FDA experience and a partial book of business are advantageous.
