Paralegal The candidate will provide a broad range of paraprofessional, technical and administrative support services to the Legal Department. Prepares both routine and specialized legal documents and correspondence and oversees all day to day legal office operations and support activities. Assists counsel in the drafting and submission, and tracking of Holding Company Act and other corporate and regulatory filings to various state and federal agencies upon request. Responsible for organizing and maintaining various records and documents, and providing those documents to internal staff as requested. Maintains the legal entity organizational chart for the enterprise. Assists with legal entity formation and licensing, including the drafting of governing documents, as well as divestitures. Assists with the coordination and training of and other legal support staff. Assists with various board and board committee activities as well as corporate governance related tasks. Performs legal and factual research as assigned. Undertakes process review projects and makes recommendations for improvement. Assists with implementation. Assists in the preparation of correspondence and other documents as needed. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and courses. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have done Two or more years of college. Three or more(3+) years of work experience in a Legal Department. 5+ years experience in a corporate environment. Paralegal training a plus. Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using technology tools required. Insurance industry familiarity preferred but not required. Proven track record in a collaborative team environment.
