Legal Assistant for Real Estate Law Firm Duties: Legal file reviews and document validations. File management to ensure court deadline are met. Drafting of legal documents such as: Motions, Affidavits, and Notice of Intent for VA, MD or DC Court Houses. Client interaction. Legal research on legal matter such as complaints, cases, statutes and regulations. Calculating of fees. Assisting with projects/assignments from Attorneys.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Any recent college graduate; high school diploma required. Previous experience in a law firm, title, bankruptcy, foreclosure and/ or mortgage banking is a plus. A recent graduate with B.A., B.S. or A.A. and looking to gain experience in a legal field. Strong professional written and communication skills, experienced in drafting and proofreading documents, and have a willingness to work meticulously to ensure the quality of work is completed.
