Legal Fellowship The fellow may work on one or several of various poverty law issues such as immigrant advocacy, public benefits, affordable housing, consumer protection, employment, health, education, or juvenile justice. Past fellows have had the opportunity to assist with clinical supervision, staff high impact cases with nationwide implications, and participate in legislative advocacy. Must be a third-year law student or recent law school graduate with a demonstrated record of public service. The Civil Rights and Racial Justice Program works to end the criminalization of poverty in Virginia by exposing and addressing the connections between policing, poverty, race, and injustice.
