Litigation Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Organizing and maintaining client files; Preparing correspondence; Editing and proofreading legal documents; Electronic filings before State and Federal courts; Entering attorney time and assembling client bills; Managing attorney travel arrangements; and hosting and interfacing with clients.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Experience working in a litigation setting is strongly preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills and a high commitment to quality and error-free work. High attention to detail and excellent judgment; Good personal skills and ability to work well with others on a tightly-functioning litigation team; Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, solve problems, and provide solutions on time and with accuracy; Ability to multi-task; Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc.; Organizational skills including coordinating calendars and maintaining files; Ability to handle privileged, confidential and time sensitive information; Excellent word processing skills; Ability to quickly learn and take on new responsibilities and enjoy working as a team towards success of firm; Experience with billing.
