IP Paralegal - Senior Level The candidate monitors various Federal Databases including but not limited to the United States International Trade Commission. Assists with the filing of complaint within any jurisdiction but more specifically the USITC. Extensive knowledge of the rules of practice within 19 C.F.R 200. Supports attorneys on litigation and appellate matters, including case and file management, pleadings, discovery and document production. Assists with various research and investigation projects related to litigation and appellate matters, as well as business development projects. Proofreads, fact-checks, cite checks, Shephardizes and ensures the validity of attorney work product (using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Best Authority). Processes and organizes cases and legal documents. Reviews and analyzes client files, data and documents to assist in the investigation of facts and allegations involved in discovery. Files and serves legal documents. Prepares privilege logs. Drafts subpoenas, motions to file under seal, attorney and client declarations, due diligence reports, pleading and discovery shells, and technical correspondence relating to client data and data processing. Maintains electronic case databases relating to deposition and hearing transcripts, video synching and exhibits (using Westlaw Case Notebook, Relativity, and Adobe Pro). Manages client data for proposed document review and production. Confers with experts, witnesses, co-counsel, and outside vendors. Coordinates, prepares for and attends trials, arbitrations, and mediations and facilitates the set-up of remote offices/work rooms, both locally and out of state, when necessary. Coordinates and prepares legal team for trial. Organizes and monitors ongoing responsibilities according to priorities and ensures that established schedules and deadlines are met. Should have 4-year degree with strong academic credentials. Should have 5+ years of litigation experience, trial experience and cite-checking skills. ITC 337 experience, is required. District court experience, is required. Relativity experience, is preferred.
