Paralegal Candidate will assist the Attorney with managing a high volume of pre-litigation personal injury and workers compensation cases. Works with the Attorney to effectively manage cases while providing excellent service to clients at all times. Duties will include: Initial Client Intake; Daily case management; Entering new cases into Case Management System; Reviewing police reports, supplemental reports, insurance policies, etc.; rdering and reviewing medical records and bills; Request medical liens, if applicable. Preparation of settlement distributions and allocations; Payment of client medical bills; Enter plaintiff and defendant insurance acknowledgments into Case Management System; Make follow up calls to clients, opposing counsel, etc; Biweekly status reports to Management; Conducting internal investigation; Scanning, faxing, and filing. Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Paralegal or Legal Assistant with previous personal injury and workers compensation experience preferred. Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail. Must have the ability to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain high case loads while remaining productive. Experience in legal research. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently as well as in a team (when needed). Missouri Notary Public preferred. Must be approachable and able to handle constructive criticism. Start Date: March 26, 2018.
