Deputy Director of Human Resources The candidate will under the general/strategic direction of the Director of HR and Employee Relations, Deputy Director of HR is responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of the Plan and the daily management of human resource functions while maintaining a customer service culture. Will be advising employees on personnel policies and procedures. Auditing accuracy of personnel data within PeopleSoft. Ensuring compliance with compensation strategy and organizational structure as outlined within the Human Resources strategy. Overseeing Workplace Violence Program at firm. Overseeing Occupational Health and Safety Committee at firm. Providing Workerâ€™s Compensation data to PESH annually. Assisting in investigating employee complaints. Managing partnerships with departments to ensure all personnel needs are being communicated and met. Educating and assisting employees in understanding labor laws and regulations. Interacting regularly with staff to ensure an understanding of respective roles and responsibilities. Assisting the Director of HR and Employee Relations in determining departmental goals, objectives, strategy. Maintaining a customer service culture in delivery of all HR services Overseeing data integrity (personnel files, documents, PeopleSoft, etc.). Assisting in documentation of all HR processes. Keeping abreast of developments and best practices within HR. Acting as a liaison between firm's and HRSS when issues need to be escalated. Managing and developing the departmentâ€™s staff in fulfillment of their respective tasks and responsibilities. Professionally developing and mentoring staff within the department. Serving as a liaison between firm's and outside agencies (Legal Affairs, EEO, OLR, etc.) as needed. Providing reports to Director of HR & Employee Relations as requested. Recommending processes directly resulting in efficient and customer focused delivery of services. Completing special projects assigned by the Director of HR & Employee Relations. Should have Master's Degree or equivalent or 4-10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR preferred. JD degree is a plus.
