Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Transcribing reports, hearing abstracts and letters from various attorneys as well as receptionist relief. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to assist in trial preparation. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal deadlines. Record and store client information.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 1-2 years’ experience in an office environment. Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. Able to type 40 – 50 wpm with a strong grasp of English grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, be detail-oriented and capable of following very specific instructions. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Reliable, flexible and attentive to detail. Efficient and responsible communicator. Ability to work efficiently on tasks while maintaining a high-level of accuracy. Preferred: Familiarity with legal terminology.
