Compliance Manager The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the compliance program including planning, development, implementation, training, internal audit, and on-going maintenance to ensure that compliance with regulatory guidelines is maintained. Will report directly to the President and CEO, with a dotted line to the Central Health Compliance Leader and the Board of Managers. Under the general direction of the Compliance leader, manage and implement programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all departments within Central Health are in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Collaborates with the Compliance Leader, to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and hardwires processes to prevent future occurrences. Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Provides direction and management of the compliance Hotline. In collaboration with the Compliance Leader, institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promotions (a) use of the Compliance Hotline, and (b) heightened awareness of the Standards of Conduct. Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required. Monitor changes to regulatory guidelines and requirements and coordinate the implementation of changes into daily program activities including automated tools. Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness. Review and analyze incidents and complaints and coordinate investigations and follow-up. Lead monitoring and review activities including conducting audits for compliance to regulatory guidelines. Work with Human Resources in order to plan, created, implement, and maintain general compliance training programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Excellent verbal and written communication skill is essential. Must have Bachelor’s degree. Should have 5+ years of experience in healthcare. Strong knowledge of current healthcare regulations is preferred. Paralegal or Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is preferred.
