Prepares for mediations and trials. Assists Attorney at trial and in preparation for depositions. Communicates with witnesses and experts. Scheduling, enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner. Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university is needed. Should have 10+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice. Experience working on class action matters is preferred. In-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principle is needed. Proficient in all Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Lexis-Nexis, WestLaw, Live Note, Concordance, Case Map, Docketing, Document Management System, expense and billing system is essential.

I think management should focus on reducing the caseload and putting programs in place to prevent associates and support staff from burning out.Pros : This is a large firm, but all employees are given opportunities to advance into better positions. This goes for support staff as well as associates.
