Corporate Counsel - Contracts The candidate will manage and implement the legal processes regarding contract management. Will negotiate contracts with the ability to balance legal risk with the needs of the company so that transactions are timely closed and the company's interests protected. Work with all groups within the company to draft, review and negotiate contracts. Maintain document management system to organize all contracts and keep track of critical dates and milestones. Provide day to day legal support and legal advice to business entities and internal functions on relevant business and legal matters. Become a trusted business partner so that legal issues can be identified pro-actively and dealt with expeditiously. Educate, inform, and advise across the organization on compliance and legal issues that inform business decision-making. Collaborate as necessary with colleagues in focused practice areas in law department. Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences. Must have the ability to work autonomously as necessary. JD degree with academic credentials from an ABA accredited law school Should have 5-10 years of law firm or in-house counsel experience. Admitted to practice in the state of Indiana or admitted to practice in a state that offers reciprocity with the state of Indiana is needed. Negotiation and drafting skills and experience is required.. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations is needed. Must be sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
