Intellectual Property Administrator The candidate will oversee and manage day-to-day operations of firm, intellectual property portfolio; including its docket, databases, generate reports and correspond with outside attorneys. Will compile and file US and foreign patent and trademark applications, analyze and evaluate expenses, performance, workflow and efficiency of the legal department. Manage workflow and day-to day operations jointly with our in-house patent and trademark professionals globally. Prepare documentation related to and file patent and trademark applications, including liaising with inventors. Coordinate international filings with foreign law offices and/or other foreign entities. Assist patent attorneys with daily workloads, such as filing of responses to office actions. Perform on-line searches of Patent and Trademark Office records, industry databases and general legal research. Administer IP license agreements. Participate in the planning process, tracking against plan, contributing to team planning and group legal analysis. Prepare and monitor the budget and forecasting processes for legal work. Execute reports and analysis on performance and time metrics. Monitor law firm performance against quotes and cost information. Prepare legal analyst reports and presentations as required. Evaluate processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvements. Must have Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, paralegal certificate a plus or Associate’s Degree with paralegal certificate. Should have 1+ year of experience in a paralegal role. Experience in a Patent Paralegal role is a plus. Extensive knowledge of international IPR portfolio management and IPR regulations is needed. Experience in filing documents using the USPTO (EFS Web) and WIPO (ePCT) systems or willingness and aptitude to learn the same is must. Experience with patent and trademark docket electronic systems and PAIR or willingness and aptitude to learn the same is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is needed. Legal Files and SharePoint software experience is a plus.
