ProfileParalegal Duties : Providing administrative, litigation and research support to attorneys; including: researching/drafting legal documents; preparing discovery responses; filing other legal documents & court papers; assisting with investigations by obtaining additional information of evidence from clients and witnesses; serving as communication liaison between the division and respondents, attorneys, courts and clients; preparing cases for hearings by organizing files, interviewing and subpoenaing witnesses, and preparing evidence exhibits; performing legal research, including analyzing rules, regulations, case law, and statutory law; maintaining records on the status & deadlines associated with div. cases; attending/assisting attorney with hearings & client meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification : Should have A paralegal certificate, diploma or degree, OR an associate’s degree (non-paralegal) and 1 year of paralegal experience, OR 3 years of paralegal experience; AND the ability to type.
Preferred Qualifications: Specific paralegal experience as needed by the area of law where the position works; ABA Paralegal Certification.
