Real Estate Closing Analyst
The candidate reviews and verifies that “Joint Venture” Operating Agreements” are consistent with the agreed upon terms; highlights potential concerns regarding subject interests. Verifies that the asset ownership organizational chart entities and percentages are in agreement with final structure. Works closely with outside legal counsel in preparing asset ownership organization documents; ensures the receipt of all required documents and distribution to internal stakeholders. Coordinates and provides assistance for outside counsel team as needed. Communicates with lenders on acquisition of properties and provide necessary documents for underwriting of the property and investors. Collaborates on closing proration calculations for accuracy and adherence to terms of the purchase agreement. Interfaces with escrow officer, lender, legal and external stakeholders to secure closing statements and confirm their accuracy. Prepares internal closing statements for joint venture acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions and works closely with other departments to ensure accuracy. Monitors, verifies, and completes wire transfer funds. Requests copy of property closing binder, verifies entirety and files documents to appropriate folders. Performs an all-inclusive review of closing documents to ensure receipt, completeness, and verification of the LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) statement. Reviews and summarizes service contracts to determine if new owner will assume services upon purchase of the property. Other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have an Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in the real estate transaction field. Should have knowledge and experience with Real Estate contract law, research, agreement review and analysis, Real Estate contract administration; understanding of general Real Estate concepts (Loan documents, Organizational charts and Operating agreements). Should have advanced level computer technology skills, strong analytical, attention to details and organizational skills, effective oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently with close attention to detail, excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions, ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers. A paralegal certificate and/or transactional experience is preferred. Multi-family real estate transaction experience is preferred. Should have general knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures, familiarity with Yardi software or similar software.
