Paralegal The candidate will research law, investigate facts, maintain legal files, and prepare documents to assist legal department. Will prepare legal documents such as contracts, promissory notes, security agreements, UCC liens, board consents, and annual reports, for review, approval, and use by attorneys. Inventory and track real and personal property. Review lease agreements, working with responsible parties on lease terms, critical deadlines and renewal dates. Perform research using legal reference materials. Review and edit documents. Coordinate with other departments for document execution and filing. Prepare affidavits of documents and maintains document files. Respond to records requests; review and redact documents. Deliver or direct delivery of subpoenas duces tecum, bankruptcy, and garnishment notices to witnesses and parties to action. Track matters affecting the legal department. Review attorneys' mail for critical events to be docketed and calendar critical dates as necessary. Direct and coordinate activities of legal department. Prepare office accounts. Manage invoicing, travel, and expense reporting. Responsible for corporate filings and corporate record-keeping in connection with Trident's corporate entities. Work with attorneys and other departments on agreement review process. Accept, review, file, edit, and track on-going negotiations for agreements. Work directly with other departments and outside contacts on managing the agreement process. Provide administrative support to the rest of the legal department, including preparation of correspondence, scheduling meetings using electronic calendar application, and any other tasks as required. Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Must have a Bachelor’s degree. Should have 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal Certificate is a must.
