Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for the organization, renewal process and monitoring of licenses, and various regulatory information for the firm's clinics. Will prepare all paperwork for pre-surveys and surveys Maintains and keeps current the survey manual. Completes tracks and follows up on survey requests Monitor and track daysâ€™ survey outstanding and reports this on startup calls. Tracks annuals survey calendar Establishes calendar for visits including mock surveys Works with Rehab management team in developing POC for survey deficiencies as applicable Ensures all necessary paperwork is available during each survey Participates in survey debriefing soon after each survey In coordination with the clinical manager, adapts policies according to results of survey and communicates to the field. Updates survey book as needed. Licenses Manage, coordinate, complete, and see through clinical renewal submissions for any firm's applications needed. Maintain current status of all â€œfirm'sâ€ licenses in License HQ (LHQ). Renew firm's licenses through LHQ, including check request, and receipt of current license. Enter and Upload new and renewed licenses as needed in LHQ. Review Monthly LHQ report for outstanding issues for your department. Works with Legal and Tax Departments to ensure notices of upcoming new clinics are known and to determine what licensure requirement by state and county may be needed. Notifies tax dept. when opening a new clinic Follows up with legal on foreign qualification licenses, and fictitious name filing Receives copies of certificate of insurance from legal and uploads into license HQ. Enters and uploads all license info into license HQ Creates weekly tickler file to ensure all renewals occur in a timely fashion Organizes files and equipment in conjunction with operations Works closely with reimbursement and legal on 855A and state license paperwork Provides comprehensive teaching and training at various levels of the company. Utilizes various media to teach and train staff. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat skills needed. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is a plus.
