The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct due diligence activities, including prior art searches and patentability assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely patent filings.
  • Manage multiple assignments from various partners and clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and file responses to Office Actions and other USPTO communications.
  • Review and analyze patent portfolios to provide strategic advice and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about developments in patent law and relevant technological advancements.
  • Assist in preparing legal documents, reports, and strategies related to patent prosecution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution, with a demonstrated ability to support clients in securing patent protection.
  • Registration with the USPTO and Patent Bar eligibility required.
  • If applicable, licensed to practice law in the respective state.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO and Patent Bar eligibility required.
  • State law practice license preferred but not mandatory.
