Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Conduct due diligence activities, including prior art searches and patentability assessments.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely patent filings.
- Manage multiple assignments from various partners and clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and file responses to Office Actions and other USPTO communications.
- Review and analyze patent portfolios to provide strategic advice and recommendations.
- Stay informed about developments in patent law and relevant technological advancements.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, reports, and strategies related to patent prosecution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution, with a demonstrated ability to support clients in securing patent protection.
- Registration with the USPTO and Patent Bar eligibility required.
- If applicable, licensed to practice law in the respective state.
