Deputy Chief Export Compliance Officer
The candidate will provide continued development and implementation of firm’s export compliance policies and procedures throughout the Corporation, including with subsidiaries and controlled affiliates. Assisting the CECO with oversight of the ECC team, including each of the Regional Directors, utilizing roles and responsibilities matrices for delegated corporate level responsibilities across the ECC organization. Reporting to the CECO, and as requested, firm’s Chief Compliance Officer regarding the current status of firm’s export compliance program, including through use of available metrics and reports pertaining to various elements of the compliance program. Assisting ECC and Regional Directors in the development and implementation of business processes, procedures and tools for entities across the regions to assist them in the implementation of firm’s export compliance program. Assisting, as needed, with the development, continual improvement and deployment of training modules related to regulatory areas of responsibility, with training designed at a macro and function-specific level. Developing, implementing and identifying corrective actions relating to self-assessments and/or audits in which the DCECO is involved. At the direction of the Chief Export Compliance Officer or Chief Compliance Officer, performing investigations on export compliance matters, developing corresponding corrective action plans and ensuring timely completion. Supporting, communicating, reinforcing and defending the mission, values and culture of the organization.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 8+ years in trade compliance position with significant experience in export controls. Must have Bachelors Degree. Law Degree is preferred. Specific experience with encryption controls within the EAR is preferred. Previous experience directly working with SAP-GTS or similar system is preferred. Must have experience working in-house for an international company. Experience working in or with Chinese companies preferred Mandarin skills are plus. Excellent organizational, priority management, multi-tasking and planning skills are required. Should have exceptional oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills enabling communication with professionals and employees of all levels. Proven problem solving and decision making skills are required.
