Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will perform secretarial and administrative duties in support of attorneys and paralegals, including preparing various legal documents such as contracts, briefs, motions, summonses, complaints and general correspondence. Role also includes filing legal documents in State and Federal Court (e-filing skills are preferred), and maintaining attorney calendars, including recording court appearance dates, calculating deadlines, and other related dates. Additional duties include profiling documents into ProLaw, opening and closing matters, and maintaining client and administrative files in accordance with firm policies and procedures. Must have 3+ years in the secretarial field where heavy electronic correspondence and organizational skills were the primary duties; strong skills with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, especially having strong word processing skills vis-à-vis litigation document formatting; knowledge of legal calendaring; and a keen attention to detail. Should be a high school graduate (or equivalent).
