Specialist VI (Foreclosure) The candidate performs complex and detailed analysis of accounts to determine appropriate short/long term actions to minimize incidents of default or loss. Manages assigned work through process milestones, while ensuring adherence to all internal policies, investor guidelines, federal and state regulatory/legal guidelines. Further responsibilities include the evaluation of collateral to determine options related to foreclosure, property preservation, processing investor/insurer claims and default investor reporting. Interactions with business partners (attorneys, valuation providers, property preservation and management companies, community representatives, etc.) that complete activities in support of Bankâ€™s Real Estate Default Servicing. Applies inâ€depth foreclosure experience to the monitoring, tracking and implementation of the foreclosure process for loans in assigned states. Ensure all information required by attorneys is promptly given to them by monitoring emails throughout the day. Work with business partners to ensure proper followâ€up on foreclosure actions. Ensures all items in the foreclosure CACS queues are worked on a daily basis and in the allotted time. Review files and records to answer requests for information from business partners and Collections. Check, distribute and/or respond to documents and correspondence from internal and external business partners. Assist in the compilation of data for vendor performance management. Work with department Analyst on Monthly Vendor Performance Calls. Escalate to management/Analyst information on attorney firms which are causing timeline/communication issues. Prepares Biding Instructions in a timely manner according to state guidelines. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to the principals and practices of federal, state, and local requirements regarding foreclosures. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to investor guidelines on a daily basis. Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices prior to submitting requests for invoice processing. Process bank ticket work as needed. Participate in any investor/insurer training necessary. Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in operating instructions. Meet minimum individual and departmental goals and service level agreements. Participate in and facilitate information sharing with your manager, business partners, and peers in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure widespread communication. Evaluate performance indicators associated with designated operational processes, pinpointing financial and quality areas of opportunity and selecting appropriate courses of action.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school diploma or equivalent. Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential. Must have 2+ years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist, Bankruptcy Specialist, Loss Mitigation Specialist, Mortgage banking/loan servicing or real estate law. Superior verbal and written communications skill is essential. Bachelorâ€™s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred. Experience with CACS, LPS Black Knight Desktop is preferred. Working knowledge of investor default servicing guidelines is preferred. Thorough knowledge of and the ability to apply complex concepts related to assigned area including the understanding of mortgage and title documents, collections, default servicing, foreclosure legal processing and legal terminology is essential. Thorough knowledge of foreclosure procedures for the assigned territories is essential. Computer literate with intermediate proficiency in internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and motivation skill is essential.
