Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Provide customer service to existing clients (Answer questions, collect and process payments, collect documents, make copies, connect to other interoffice staff via phone/skype). Assist Paralegals in copying, scanning, faxing and mailing. Assist Paralegals in obtaining court adjournments and preparing pleadings. Data entry into software programs. Schedule client appointments. Notarize client documents. Meet with clients to provide updates on matters and assist attorneys with client meetings. Translate for clients when in meeting with English-speaking paralegals or attorneys. Review client lists to ensure that timely updates are provided.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree a plus Notary Public Bilingual (English & Spanish). Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook and Excel. Must have excellent phone manner and written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Balance attention to detail with a sense of urgency. Must be a team player and self motivated.
