Administrative Specialist, GS 11 Duties: The candidate will assist in managing the administrative operations of the office including, but not limited to time and attendance preparation, budget, procurement, information technology, and property management. Assist with developing internal administrative policies and procedures, coordinate and monitor transactions, ensure that deadlines are met, prepare a variety of reports, and make recommendations for problem resolution. Provide administrative support, office management, and customer service for the group; coordinate all correspondence and route action items to appropriate staff; edit and reformat electronic documents; prepare and review correspondence, reports, proposals and schedules and prepare travel arrangements, and meeting conferences. Perform office duties using such software applications as electronic mail, desk-top publishing, calendar, spreadsheets, databases, and/or graphics.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications:
GS-11 level: Must have 1+ year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-09 level defined as experience with federal travel laws, policies, regulations, requirements and precedents, identifying necessary improvements or corrections & implementing solutions, and using automated computer systems and databases Or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., in any academic discipline.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of federal budgeting laws, policies, regulations, requirements and precedents. Knowledge of administrative processes. Knowledge of time and attendance. Knowledge of federal agency and administrative processes, procedures and policies. Ability to identify necessary improvements or corrections and implement solutions. Skill in oral communication sufficient to provide technical advice on an organization's structure. Skill in effective oral communication in order to maintain effective relationships with a variety of individuals. Ability to clearly communicate in writing with a wide range of audiences. Ability to use automated computer systems and databases. Knowledge of program objectives and requirements.
